I want to set up a dedicated server, how do I get the configuration file?
The best way to do it is to set up the server from the AvP2 game itself: in the main menu select either Multiplayer Internet or Multiplayer LAN, then select to host the game. In the GAME section you can select the game mode, and in SETUP you can refine the game settings, such as number of captures (for CTF and One Flag CTF) and the allowed time per map. After setting up all the details and run the server from the game itself, the configuration file will be saved in the ServerData folder from your AvP2 instalation folder.
I have created the configuration file; I can launch a server from the game itself, but when starting a dedicated server, it complains it can't load the selected map.
That message points out that the AvP2Fortress.rez file is not yet specified to be loaded by the dedicated server. To make sure the dedicated server knows about the new .rez file, open (or create, if it doesn't exist) the customrez.txt file from the AvP2 installation folder. Add (or change) the following lines:

I can't see any of the regular AvP2 servers!
This is actually ok, the mod will allow you to detect only AvP2 Fortress servers.
I can't see any servers!
There are two possible reasons for this:
1. You could be filtering the list of servers using a combination of game type, ping and server type that matches no servers
2. Perhaps no servers are up. The mod is young at the moment,so it may take a bit for more servers to appear then the one administrated by The_One (see http://74.208.101.7/avp2server/phgstats/)
Does the mod correct the stagger fire for the pulse rifle?
Yes, it does. The pulse rifle is now stagger free.
Will the tracking and targeting mechanisms still work?
Yes, with a major change: your weapons will target and track only enemy players. For predators, use the red vision to target red team players, or the blue vision to target blue team members. The marine has it easy, since the smartgun and SADAR will track enemy players in the normal vision mode.
When check out the status, I am labeled as 'unknown' class
This is a known issue; the cause for this is that you joined a server without selecting a character first. As a result, you joined using the old (vanilla) MP character, which is now invalid. You can select a valid character class ingame, by using the F1 menu.
